Our Name - Although the correct title is The Girls' Grammar School, Brisbane, the School is usually referred to as Brisbane Girls Grammar School or BGGS.
Our Badge - When the School was founded, it adopted the badge of Brisbane Grammar School.
Our Motto - Nil Sine Labore - means Nothing without work and derives from Horace. The open book symbolises learning and is part of the original Oxford University Crest. Our motto is also shared by Brisbane Grammar School.
Our School Colour - Royal Blue - is adapted from the Brisbane Grammar School colours which are in turn derived from the Oxford University and Cambridge University colours of light Blue and Dark Blue. |
